The first Pilot test campaign of the 2nd test phase of the FORENSOR project has taken place in the town of Chiusi (Italy) on 3-4 December 2018. Main goal has been to verify the FORENSOR platform in its final configuration to prove its unique capability to autonomously monitor private houses against crime activities.

In the first day the sky was cloudy and a little rain joined us a couple of times, but our Sensors and our actors are water-proof.

After testing all the equipment, the sensor network has been deployed to monitor a private villa in Chiusi, looking for persons and cars acting suspiciously. Numerous alerts and evidence have been collected.

All the components of the FORENSOR platform worked fine, starting from the Sensors, to the communication network with the Gateway and the Internet connection toward the central SBA web interface. Robustness of the network has been verified throughout the tests.

The second day has seen a more friendly weather, with few clouds and sun over Chiusi. Again, numerous tests have been conducted to test the autonomous capacity of the sensors to identify attempts to break in from windows and doors, cars and pedestrians approaching and leaving the house.

A lot of data in form of alerts, evidence, logs, pictures and videos have been collected showing the great potential of the Forensor System. We have already started analyzing them in order to support next pilots execution and to guide the future steps of the consortium.
